Sterling is well respected by our members and clients for being a scheme that delivers a high level of quality service, support and advice. Since 2009 we have been accrediting Energy Assessors so that they can undertake Energy Assessments on all types of buildings throughout England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Being a pro-active scheme we have close working relationships with Governments, Councils and Trading Standards to ensure that we are able to provide technical information on compliance, legislation and regulatory requirements to our members, clients and members of the public.

From the outset our mission has been to set a ‘new standard’ for independence, quality and service; something which we believe sets us apart from other Accreditation Schemes. Our business is purely accreditation; we do not sell assessment services in competition with our members, we are here to help you and your business develop, without any conflicts of interest.

Quality Assurance is an integral part of being an Energy Assessor, our practices and procedures manuals ensure that you get the right level of guidance and support, throughout the auditing process. Post audit, our comprehensive audit feedback reports provide a valuable insight into understanding even the smallest of errors, ensuring that you produce accurate reports.

In 2012 Sterling launched ‘e-volve’, an Air Conditioning Reporting software package, which was specifically designed around energy assessor and marketplace requirements. Working with the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers the software also incorporates the Air Conditioning Inspection Technical Manual (TM44: 2012). This unique feature provides users with direct access to specific advice and information when writing reports. Considered as the best and most efficient report writing software available in the marketplace by users; 60% of all Air Conditioning reports are created using e-volve.

In partnership with Property Tectonics, Sterling launched Domestic Energy Performance Assessments using Lifespan RdSAP, a web based software package that is uniquely integrated into Lifespan Housing, providing an approved SAP calculation and a wealth of information directly to its users. Lifespan is the preferred choice for Chartered Surveyors accredited with Sterling.
